i’m honestly surprised you’re keeping up with the weekly releases.

are you planning on doing onii chan radios again too?

SURPRISED?! Well, I’m offended. But realistically, it’s easier now since what I’m doing anyway is recording shit for YouTube all day (which everyone should totally check out for sure, please… please like and soscreeb so I can afford to keep doing things).

As for Onii-chan Radios, I do a gaming podcast thing (on Youtube) and I might go back to doing some other stuff, but as it is I am trying to build out the YouTube channel to a point where I can live off of it a little. I don’t need much to live, but I can’t monetize any of this stuff. It’s all just for folks who like it. The easier my life is elsewhere, the more time I can spend on things which won’t necessarily make me money. Haha. Real life is bullshit like that.

    ah, I see.

that’s definitely true. there’s not a whole lot of revenue possibilities with ocne. sponsors and advertisers don’t exactly flock to these sites.

since your goal is to create your online brand, have you considered streaming as well as youtube? personally, I think the unique selling point of your brand is that you’re comfortable with talking and joking about sexuality than other people who do Let’s Plays-type of content. the kind of content you’re good at delivering works better in a live format than video.

I already stream on YouTube Gaming, all my videos are made from livestreams I do (which is basically just “behind the scenes” video creation). I won’t stream on Twitch because, well, there are a few reasons. Prime among them is that they only allow 3.5Mbps and sort of defacto don’t allow 1080p60. I have a quality standard and it is not blocky garbage. Plus, unless you are doing giveaways, no one really gives a shit.

Hopefully, in time, it will grow. In the mean time, I will just keep trying to do quality shit and hope people like it. I won’t put ads on OCnE no matter what. And, luckily, there are services I can use to host the videos if somehow bandwidth becomes an issue. At some point I may even start preemptively migrating them over just to get extra audience.

AH WELL! It’s all the grind. Maybe one day I can live on being funny about games and still do Onii-chan Theatre and maybe get the other stuff back in.
